FULL-TIME TEAM LEADER, DEAF SERVICE – Salary: £29,262
The Deaf Service is a project within Integrate (Preston & Chorley) Ltd working with people with learning disabilities, mental health needs who have additional complex requirements alongside Deafness/hearing loss. We are looking for a full-time Team Leader who will work alongside the current Team Leader in managing the service, both the staff team and the People we Support.

The Team Leader will also offer senior support, consultation and communication to the other project areas and to the organisation and be proactive in securing new referral work. If you would like to be considered for this role and can demonstrate the passion necessary, please apply today.
Team Leader Duties:
- Be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and management of the Deaf Service, covering all areas of the service.
- To act as an interface for Deaf/hearing impaired staff and service users as appropriate.
- Co-ordinate communications within the team and make sure important information is passed on appropriately within a reasonable timeframe.
- Establish the priorities of the day and provide senior support and consultation and lead the team meetings
- Build links between different parts of the project, helping to foster a mutually supportive team
- Support the Service Manager in relation to the project service area, and deputise in their absence
- Undertake direct work with the people we support where necessary, and supervise individual staff, ensuring regular reviews.
- Managing finances, risk assessments, care plans and other documents relevant to the People we support.
- Manage paperwork relevant to staff, including annual leave, mileage and access to work. Develop competence in online rostering software.
- To proactively manage key external relationships in order to enhance and maintain the reputation of the service
- Maintain and develop understanding of the social care agendas, CQC and other relevant topics.
Team Leader Person Specification:
- Management experience ideally with an NVQ3 in Social Care or equivalent.
- Qualified to level 3 in British Sign Language (BSL) or native language user with strong English skills.
- Extensive general care experience in related work, particularly experience in learning difficulty and/or disability field.
- Relevant professional qualification (desirable).
- Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills
- Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues and Managers to ensure the effective and smooth running of the Service in addition to any extra development work that is required on new services.

- Flexibility to work evenings and alternate weekends and take responsibility of the on-call service on a shared rota basis.
