Deaf Service Waking Watch

We are an innovative, forward-thinking project that strives to enable people with a learning disability, mental health need or a sensory impairment to live safely and participate fully in a valued life in the community. We are looking to further develop our Deaf Service in the Preston area.

We require several SUPPORT WORKERS (full-time, part-time & casual staff) with BSL qualifications or equivalent knowledge.

We require:     Support Staff for a Waking Watch (10pm-8am) with BSL

Hours:               35 hours per week

Pay:                    £11.29 per hour

The successful candidates will be working on a 1-1 basis with Deaf service users who live independently in the community. Applicants need to be available to deliver support flexibly, on a daily basis, to meet the needs of the service user. Applicants should be able to engage in different activities and be committed to integrating into the Deaf community and be able to creatively teach independent living skills.

Working within a professional multi-agency setting, you will ideally need experience in mental health, learning disability or those with behaviours that can challenge.
