Integrate is looking for a new trustee to join our Board.
Are you interested in becoming a Trustee (non-executive director) of a Preston based Charity? Would you like to support the Charity to make a difference to people’s lives and help them achieve their goals and aspirations?
Integrate, established in 1983, pioneered the move of people from institutions into the community, which we still do today. Now we’re looking forward to celebrating 40 years of providing individual person-centred support to adults with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health conditions and other Complex Disabilities, in Lancashire and Manchester. We want to recruit new members to the Board of Trustees, who can bring skills and life experiences to Integrate.
You would be committed to the values and ethos of the organisation, believe in positive lives for people with Learning Disabilities, ideally with some experience of the Charity Sector, but not essential as training can be offered. You will need an understanding of the legal duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of trusteeship or we can help you develop these.
As a member of our Board, you will help, as a critical friend, to shape our work, strategic direction and further development as we move into the future.
The estimated time required is attendance at 8 meetings a year, lasting approximately two hours plus two full strategy days. As this is a voluntary role, there is no formal remuneration, but reasonable expenses for travel are covered.
We are actively seeking individuals who represent the communities we work in.
