FULL & PART TIME SUPPORT WORKERS Preston Area Deaf Service **Closing Date 29th June 2018 **

We are an innovative, forward thinking project which strives to enable people who have a learning disability, mental health need or have a sensory impairment to live safely and participate fully in a valued life in the community and we are looking to further develop our Deaf Service in the Preston area.

We require several SUPPORT WORKERS (full time/ part time & casual staff) with a minimum British Sign Language (BSL) qualification at stage 1 for our DEAF SERVICE

  • Salary £15,107 per annum.
  • QCF qualified £15,319 per annum.
  • Sleepovers paid at £78.30 per night.

The successful candidates will be working on a 1-1 basis with Deaf service users who live independently in the community. Applicants need to have availability to deliver support flexibly on a daily basis to meet the needs of the service user. Applicants should be able to engage in different activities and be committed to integrating into the Deaf community and able to creatively teach independent living skills.

Working within a professional multi-agency setting, you will ideally need experience in mental health, learning disability or those with behaviours that can challenge with the flexibility to work evenings and alternate weekends. Please submit CVs to recruitment@integratepreston.org.uk
